StayWithMe is a voice meditation companion. What you say while you sit is personal, and this policy is written the way the app is built: say less, keep less.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and a password, used only to sign you in.
• Free trial sit: if you try a sit before signing up, the app creates an anonymous guest account with no email or name, so that one sit works like any other. Your network address is held briefly in memory, never stored, to limit free sits to a few per day. Creating a real account afterwards starts fresh.
• Profile: an optional display name, your chosen voice, and any imagery you mark off-limits, so sessions can respect it.
• Remembered preferences: after a session ends, an AI language model briefly reviews what you said to notice lasting preferences you stated — like “no forest imagery” or “loves ocean scenes” — and saves only those short notes to your profile so future sessions can respect them. Moods, goals, and anything personal you shared are never saved this way, and the review happens whether or not transcript saving is on — but only the distilled preference is kept, never your words. Everything remembered is visible in Settings under “What StayWithMe knows about you,” where you can edit or delete any of it at any time.
• Session records: which meditation mode you sat with, when, and for how long — and for guided journeys, the track you chose, the names of the techniques used (like “body scan” — never your words), and your answer to the optional “did this help?” question. Used to show your history, to gently shape future journeys toward what worked for you, and to enforce fair-use limits.
• Transcripts: only if you switch on “Save session transcripts” in Settings. It is off by default. With it off, the words of your session are not stored.

Your voice

The microphone is only active during a session you started. While you speak, audio is sent to our server and on to our speech-to-text provider to be transcribed, then discarded — recordings are not stored. The transcribed text is sent to an AI language model to compose the response you hear. Before your first session, the app asks your explicit permission to send what you say to these AI providers; you can withdraw it at any time by deleting your account in Settings.

Who processes data on our behalf

• OpenAI — speech-to-text, the responding voice, and language models.
• Anthropic — language models for some session types.
• Supabase — sign-in and database hosting.
• Railway — server hosting.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on the sign-in screen.

We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third-party analytics or tracking.

Reminders

Daily reminders are scheduled on your device by the app itself. They never touch a server and involve no data leaving your phone.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and everything attached to it — profile, session records, and any saved transcripts — from Settings inside the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
